All hands were on deck for the placement of concrete for the Unit #4 gas turbine addition at Cleco's Teche Electric Generating Facility in Franklin, LA. With L-Con's civil crews working around the clock the main turbine pedestal concrete was successfully placed on October 21, 2010. Congratulations to L-Con's site team for their dedication to safety and efficiency during this critical task! L-Con was selected by Cleco Power Corp. as the General Contractor for this existing project which includes on-site rehabilitation of a used gas turbine / generator, civil / structural, installation of the rebuilt gas turbine / generator and ancillary equipment, piping systems, electrical, instrumentation and controls systems.
The project is on schedule with all L-Con's stringent goals for safety and quality being met and exceeded each and every day.
