GreenHunter Energy, Inc. (NYSE: GRH) has selected L-Con as the General Contractor to provide demolition and construction services to repair, modernize and perform new construction services to place the "Mesquite Lake Biomass Power Generation Station" back into commercial service by 3rd quarter 2011. Phase I will include demolition of the existing steam generator, furnace and AQHS area and install new more efficient Steam Generation and Air Quality Control efficient components. Also required is the rebuilding and rehabilitation of existing Concrete Foundations, Structural Support Steel, Piping, and Steam Turbine / Generator and related Mechanical Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems, new Ash Handling System and the addition of a new Feedstock Preparation and Handling System.
Phase II of the project in an additional 10MW of generation capacity and slated for commercial service late 2012.
